In September 2008 Robinsons Solicitors were announced as Canterbury City Football Club Official Website Sponsor and on 14th May 2009 as Official Club Sponsor as well.

Announcing a 4-year Official Club sponsorship commitment Robinsons Solicitors are proud to be supporting Canterbury City FC and the significant community work they undertake both now and as the Club moves forward in the future. Robinsons intends to support the Club to help it achieve its aims over the coming years.

With over 200 players in men’s, ladies, junior and special needs teams the Club is more than just about football. The club has been established in a way that is unique in British football, being the first in the country to be formed from scratch as a Community Interest Company. The aim is to provide Canterbury with a club that the great city deserves and make it an asset for the community. Community Interest Companies are a new form of non-profit distributing organisations that have community objectives at their core and can prove each year that they have worked towards and met these objectives. The Club has gained FA recognition in this regard.

The Club has achieved great success since reforming two years ago. The men’s 1st team have achieved two successive league and cup doubles and now play in the Kent County Leagues Premier Division. Amongst the many other trophies the club has collected this season is the Girls’ Under 16s Kent League title and City 13/14 Girls have so impressed next stop is a trip to West Ham where the girls have been invited to compete in their annual tournament.

Canterbury City FC have based themselves at the heart of the community and also look to benefit Canterbury and the surrounding area.
